slight headache today

Thanks for all the well wishes, it was a wonderful day and we loved it. I'm exhausted today (and I've now got to write the rest of tomorrow's lecture) so i won't catch up on reading / answering email for a day or two more, sorry about that.

Here's a photo. First of several probably.

Any bloggers who happened to be present, you have our blessing to post whatever you like as long as there aren't any identifiable children in the pictures. I have some nice pictures of you and I'll post them if (& only if) you tell me it's okay.

update: Dorian and I

and moi with only broidesmaid who showed up before all the guests went home (he obvs overslept, and forgot to wash his face as well)

Oh how gorgeous!
You both look wonderful.
And that kitty looks like a cross, tired baby lying on your knee.
Congratulations on what looks like a fab day.

Look if this is the place to say it, and I suppose it is, it was a great event and the most enjoyable wedding I've ever been to (well, I'll exempt my own from that assessment if that's OK). It was textbook how-to-have-a-wedding-that-actually-meant-something, you know, in these troubled times. I was touched! And for that matter, inspired. Not just by Dorian's brilliant Fletcher Jones suit. Shame the cats were all so conspicuous by their absence...

I watched the weather all day and was so glad to see the sun shining.
The dress looks great but Pud is not impressed.

Well done! This all looks very lovely, I particularly like that vintage dusky rose colour in your dress and your lovely groom's shirt. Huzzah!

Oh, bless Pud. He should get a job advertising rugged masculinity for FHM or some such.

Also, you and Dorian are beautiful and kind and I'm so happy for you.

It was a very gorgeous day - I just wish those pretty bridesmaid had joined the throng a bit earlier. That said, the chickens were in fine form. More photos please. We have some we'll send to you when we are organised (though most of mine have grape vine or rosemary bush in the foreground).

Looks like a wonderful, memorable day. Congratulations. You both look lovely and very happy.

Did you get a permit? I just paid $1,000 to Hobsons Bay Council for permission to build a carport; a backyard wedding would cost at least $20,000. Well never mind it's still only $39.00 a month (Optus) to infuriate feminists, and wish good looking people like you a long and happy life together. What a bargain.

Completely, utterly gorgeous. You both look completely blissed out. Sounds like a wonderful day and I'm glad the rain held off.

Warmest congratulations all round!

Did a bridesmaid catch a bouquet of any description?

I got this far, and I said something more about the wedding, in case anyone needs further gushiness.

I remembered late Saturday afternoon that it was your wedding day, and sent you happy thoughts. You were probably well into the champers by then. The dress is lovely, and sure to have many happy memories through the years. Hope the hangover is gone now. BTW did anyone come up with a poodle?

And a hearty congrats from me too!

I can't get my (few) pictures to download on my borrowed computer, but will work something out soon. I am happy for any pictures of me that anyone has to be posted. Oh god, I think so, anyway.

I will write a proper post when I can get the pics happening, but I'll just say now that it was one of the most wonderful weddings I have ever attended and I feel honoured to have been invited. It was a perfect day.

Bloody hell, you don't look a thing like that insouciant Miss with the sunnies on! I probably shouldn't be surprised. . .

Congratulations. I'm glad it went off well and with just the one hitch. It can now rain in Melbourne as much as it likes.

WV: tiectogr -the surprise you get when gravatar and person bear very little resemblance to each other.
