Ripped from Scrivenings...

Total number of tracks in iTunes
2,824 songs (10.6 days' worth of music)

Sort by song title
First song: "''Snake ' Plissken' " by John Carpenter, off the soundtrack to Escape from New York. Coming up first because of the strange quotation marks there.
Last song: "Zoom and Bored (1957)" by Carl Stalling & The Warner Brothers Studio Orchestra, from The Carl Stalling Project.

Sort by time
Our iTunes library is full of junk oddities, so there are four tracks of less than one seconds' duration. Shortest actual sound-producing track is something called "angry", 0:02 - it's a cat screeching. Thanks to the post-Pulp Fiction fad for punctuating movie soundtrack albums with slices of dialogue there are about fifty "tracks" under ten seconds. What an amazingly irritating compilation CD you could make out of these.
The longest non-podcast or antique radio drama file is "Raiding the 20th Century - Words & Music Expansion, starring Paul Morley and a cast of thousands", 59:00. Ubuweb has a page about this attempt to document the history of mashups and bastard pop, and you can download the file itself for free.

Songs by artist
First: "Aquarius - Let the Sun Shine In" by The 5th Dimension. I have no idea how this got inside my computer. Maybe it is infected with the fearsome hairy naked hippy Trojan.
Last: "The Way I feel Inside" by The Zombies.
Most: Ella Fitzgerald (74), then a tie between Elvis Presley and Beck (71 each).

Sort by album
First: 10,000hz Legend by Air. Being computer geeks, Air probably knew what they were doing when they chose the name of this album, and of their band for that matter - I listen to them a lot and it's probably because they come up near the top of several iTunes lists.
Last: Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars by David Bowie.

Number of search returns for:
sex: 9
love: 178
you: 294
death: 17
hate: 7
wish: 10

Bonus:
Genres
First: acapella
Last: unclassifiable
Most: Jazz, then Alternative & Pop (the latter category spans 10cc to Animal Collective, so ???
Least: many "genres" represented by a single track, but among them are such gems as Christian Rap, Sourpop, and Fear & Loathing.

I wonder if we have the same 9 "sex" songs?

Did you skip the ten most played for a particular reason?

yes, a boring reason, but since you asked - I wrote this on the notebook which ahs network access to the entire music library files but not to that kind of info. It only shows ten most played for the files actually living on this hard drive, and they were all songs off Blood on the Tracks.

very specific predictions there Clancy...none of them match what's in my library...couldn't venture a guess what David's were, I think he's always had a soft spot for Tom Jones & Rod Stewart.

I've got "Sex Machine" out of that list. I own some Sex Pistols, but it's not loaded on iTunes. But Clancy left out "Song Against Sex" by Neutral Milk Hotel.
