So much fail for such a little t-shirt

I saw this while shopping for Christmas presents for my cousin's little kids. Two comments:

- this is an excellent example of why I'm glad I can sew.

- However incompetent a parent I might turn out to be, I at least know enough to avoid inflicting this sort of sartorial, grammatical, and gender-role trauma upon a little infant.

Hard to know where to start... maybe you could have surreptitiously set fire to it then walked as quickly as possible out of the shop.

I have a general rule of never buying kiddie clothes with words on them.

Sometimes the chinglish ones nearly break me though. Cute suit the other day said
"Where there is child there is draems"
and on the front was
"Draem Child".

It was also unwearable though, due to not having buttons all down the front.

Don't sew too much for the wee monster - they grow out of stuff like nobody's business.b

Intrigued to see the Tele in Sydney and Herald Sun in Melbourne dissing NRL players for piss-spelling their tatts! Can't find the one I'm looking for (which had 'to' instead of 'too') but here's another...

Loved the six month pic BTW. Very slinky. xx

Quick thinking M-H. I wish I had done something like that, instead of just standing there staring with my mouth open.

Don't worry Seepi. Almost all the planned baby sewing remains just that: planned (ie imaginary.) I have started knitting a completely unnecessary baby cardigan though. Just for fun. Ill never again have the chance to knit a complete jumper which is so small and therefore finish able.

Hey - my latest baby boy clothes discovery - try the PJ section!

LIttle boys still seem to be able to have pjs with elephants and monkeys etc on them, instead of the skulls and racing cars that infest normal t-shirts etc. And the pjs are just cotton pants and tops - as long as they don't say ZZZZzzz then who is to know they were sold as pyjamas?

So many fails visited upon such a small garment.

My last comment is clearly a sign I am losing my mind, seing as I basically repeated the title of your post back at you. Sigh.

Of course, one could always interpret this to be a reference to the steel rule belonging to the boy who belongs to "my dad" - the dad's name being Say.
