You might've noticed that Sarsaparilla is broken - it has been for quite some time, in fact. This is entirely my fault for setting the thing up somewhat shonkily initially and then failing to engage in all the somewhat strenuous maintenance involved in running a wordpress blog. But it's on the road to recovery, and meanwhile there's a temporary Sars, here. Please add it to your bookmarks or feedreader.
Also, I have gone on Twitter, as lucytartan. Another internetty thing to neglect, hooray!
While I'm here I may as well say that the O-week lady is in my first year tutorial.

I hope the O week lady provides some good blog fodder. There has to be some payoff.
She sounds thoroughly ghastly. But since I have now turned into the annoying mature age student whom I hated with a fiery burning passion in my undergrad classes, I'm not sure I'm qualified to comment on how annoying other people could possibly be.

Y'know, she was actually fine and good. It's essay-handing-back time I'm notionally dreading.
The new student I really loved was the one who kept shouting that Voss is CRAP! also, UP ITSELF! Kids today. There are two American exchange students in that tute whose eyes were popping out of their heads at the end of that extremely undignified conversation.
Speedy, I shall put you out of your misery! Tonight when I get home from work.
Did you see Lost in Austen or whatever it was? I almost enjoyed Diary of a Call Girl more. (Can't explain that analogy, but I suspect it has something to do with the presence of a trashy heroine in both.)

Can't remember any outstandingly weird tutorial students, but the oddest tutor I had was the one who told us all how she often took off her wedding ring and pretended not to be married with a young child. What that had to do with medieval Arthurian romance, I still do not know.
