Do you think it's the chooky equivalent of lying in a deep hot bubble bath?

Whenever I see the cats having a dustbath I just want to join them, but this seemed a bit more sordid than that...

What DO you think is going through their tiny heads?

That claw sticking out at about 55 seconds scares me. In an ominous, horror movie foreshadowing sort of way.

With 'grovelling' in the title, I was hoping for a bit more action. The lack thereof is just another frustrating thing about these hopelessly frustrating birds.

My comment is this is a boring video, that is made magnificent by it's title.

I think it is a bit like a Jacuzzi. They had made a sort of pit here with very finely sifted soil in it. Unfortunately Albie shat in there so no more dirt baths in this location.

Librarygirl, I can't imagine what's happening in their heads no matter how hard I try. It's totally alien. I don't think they even are aware of themselves as independent beings. They seem to have a sort of hive mind. At least, when one goes off to the nesting box to lay an egg, the other one gets a bit weepy walking around on its own.

They is happy. That's the main thing.

would the girls like a nice young rooster?
Rust neck frills and dark green tailfeathers?

That's So Pants is taking our 22 chickens for tennis lessons because she is pining for Wimbledom coverage.

Chickens like their dust baths - I once heard they prevent them from getting mites
