working from home
I am working on a lecture, two different book chapters, and the conference program which I stupidly thought was finished but turns out to be only just beginning d'oh! I'm also reading El's blog if the evidence of this photo is to be believed.
Meanwhile Basil is working on defining the parameters of the eighth habit of highly effective people, namely sleeping quietly on the desk while others get on with having the kittens.
Ooh! Hailstones outside!

Hailstones here, too, about the same time. The cat was buried in a pile of blankets while I got on with the real work, ie. trying to take photos of the hail without having to actually be out in it.
Top marks for book balancing!
And did you succeed? My hailstones were disappointingly thin on the ground.
they're glued together.
That looks so much like my own desk, except it faces a window and an international cat of mystery likes to hide behind the filter curtains and watch the world, rather than slumber in full view.
He looks like a leopard slug, only furrier, and nicer in general.
Wow, if only i could have posted a photo of Lulu on a keyboard or something, it could have been like an infinite regression of catblogging photos.
Your workspace looks like mine.
I'm with Baz, I've spent most of my life sleeping quietly on the desk while the others get on with having kittens.
Oh!!!
Gah!!!!
CIBalcony
Baz-lotto!
I'm sure Mr Hemingway would be up for a bit of Baz-lotto, he had more cats than wives, which is really some achievement as when I think of Hemingway I think of masochism and hunting and warriorhood, but he had quite a fondness for cats.

cats with special deformed feet, even.
oh, and congratulations on your recent victory over Bazlotto.
That's all the prize there is, by the way.
Bazlotto: four cats and a map of Australia. Best I can do.
Feminists would like every bloke to blow his brains out -but not where he'll be found the next morning. Hemingway did the job at home, with his wife in bed a few metres away. Not very gentlemanly. Not manly at all. But what would you expect from a weakling with a false he-man profile?
Baz-lotto too! Five kitties, and six if you count the one in the post, warming his head under the lamp.
The satisfaction of it is all the prize I want.
