Like this?

For the kitchen window. Which is not large.

Marimekko just about represents my idea of aesthetic perfection. Truth to materials and all that.

Finns are quite good at this kind of thing. Better than they are at disco dancing, anyhow.

OK, I know this is a mindless post. But I just finished cleaning the oven, and Dorian has played "Young Folks" at least fifteen times today.

I love it. Did you get that fabric at that shop in High St, Northcote?

oy vey! That last 20 seconds is a killer. At least he had the funky 'Dr Who Cricket Whites' look down pat. It wouldn't have hurt for her to smile, either. And 'Moscow'! Oh, my face hurts.

That is *glorious* fabric.

Jane Eyre is a moving experience but nothing compared to shifting furniture, and I do hope you'll pardon this but yesterday I was being chauffered up St Georges Road with Mother SUPERIOR from the local convent -on our way to Bunnings for a bit of a rummage, and as we turned into Normandy Street and on into Clarendon Street I spotted a REMOVALIST VAN in the driveway of a house and ordered an immediate halt, because I do like a quick inspection of people's furniture which gives a thorough and comprehensive assessment of them (age, occupation, voting intentions, scars, moles, sexual predilictions, and so on...) and blow me down but several items seemed to scream Miss Tartan! Still, I wasn't sure -until the sight of a Louis X1V sideboard being carried in gave it right away!

Congratulations, and a lovely little cottage it is too. Lovely, yes -nothing that $200,000 couldn't fix. ho ho ho! -Only joking. Yes well sociology does like a giggle now and then. (But then, rather than now of course. ho ho)

Toodle-oo.

We could never afford to move somewhere so salubrious.

I have not got the fabric yet. Mail order.

What? How ridiculous! Wherever you move becomes salubrious over-night!

(A couple have just moved in down the road with a roll of floral carpet -always a sign of deep sexual conservatism. It doesn't suprise me therefore that they're Monash graduates)

I LOVE THAT FABRIC. It will look like there's a tree outside, which is as it should be.

I sent your CD on Friday. It's got Young Folks on it. Oops.

I've just watchd that clip and it's AMAZING!!

It's extra amazing because Swedish teachers I've learnt with (like the Harlem Hot Shots at Herrang) are JUST LIKE THAT GUY!!!

That guy is actually a freakin' good dancer and he teachers just like the Swedes - completely straight face. Ikea design - practical, clean lines, functional. And with a very strange sense of humour.

...btw there's a box step in there that's in the Tranky Doo.

I thought you might like it DP (the dance clip).

What surprises me is that nobody has mentioned how exactly like Kath Day-Night the lady accomplice is, especially when she gets warmed up.

Thanks Fluffy. I'm excited anyway.
