bought a house

About three hours ago.

And some wallpaper.

I'm pretty tempted by these, too.

Happy New Year, blog friend!

Wonderful wallpaper - very similar to a roll found in a recent Hard Rubbish drive - ours is pepermint green and silver swirls - one roll is not enough to paper the loo though.

The orange tiles are wild and if you like them, you might like a large egg shaped orange glass pendant light shade - definitely 1970's -that I can give you.

What a great way to start your New Year - as Home Owners - many congratulations.
Has Baz approved it?

Congratulations - buying your first house is such a scary, exciting buzz - enjoy every bit of it. The orange tiles however are another matter entirely, but hey, each to their own.

A word or caution when it comes to relocating male cats (even the mild-mannered neutered variety) - expect issues related to the claiming of his new territory, such as some serious cat-fighting and possible personality changes. Give lots of attention, reassurance, and if that fails, a course of female hormones from the local vet. It worked a treat for dear old Kimba, God rest his lovely old soul.

Thanks for your great blog, it's the only one I follow regularly, and eagerly await the new house adventures as they unfold in 2007.

We used to have two of those round cane chairs on our back verandah when I was a kid. No idea what happened to them. Dammit.

So was the big event at auction or did you have an offer accepted? Is it the one where the agent wouldn't tell the owner your offer?
