Only one person ranked me but I got a Smiley. It can only go downhill from here!

How long has it been here??

Has there been much in the way of critical blogging/reporting about this? I'd like to make a start but I doubt I'd be saying anything original.

Roger that, David. Moi aussi.

Whew.

Mind you, the student assessment thingies were bad enough. I'll never forget the one that said 'Pavlov's Cat always looks tired.'

Well, derrr.

I wish I knew, Mel. Not very long, maybe? I looked it up last night because I had to write a little assignment about student evaluations of teaching, and was very, very very, surprised to see Australia listed on there, and to see some people from this uni actually have ratings already, like Harry.

You should write something about it for sure. It's probably a scoop in the local media, and will strike terror into the hearts of teachers everywhere. By publishing something about it you'll draw students attention to it, but someone will do that sooner or later -- might as well be you.

Forgot to say -- why on earth does the drop-down menu thing where you choose your state include all the usual Australian states, plus JERVIS BAY???

(Christmas, Cocos, & Keeling Islands, also. But that's a different, more reasonable order of weirdness.)

Jervis Bay is a Commonwealth territory, Ms. Tartan, and thus not part of any state for admin purposes. Strangely enough, it used to be part of the ACT, on the pretext that the capital needed a port. Those krazy kolonials!

Thankyou, sir.

I'm never sure how effective a gauge of teaching ability/course content student assessment is and fear it might just be a glorified popularity thingie.
