Down with this sort of thing!

Fr Ted Crilly and Fr Dougal McGuire have handcuffed themselves to the railings outside the Craggy Island cinema, and what for? Because they don't want you to go see Da Vinci Code: Da Movie, that's what for! And if the cinema is having its biggest ever week since Jurassic Park because of all the publicity about the protests, well too bad.

It's not the heretical stuff about Jesus that the Fathers didn't like, no; Ted just thought it was rubbish, and apart from the bit where Tom Hanks tried to take the banana off the albino lad, Dougal found it all a bit confusing. He thinks you could have a better laugh going in the Tunnel of Goats at Funland. Or looking at the Spiderbaby.

i think I'll go see it next tuesday. it couldn't be any worserer than the passion of christ and at least then i'll feel i've been even handed.

You have reminded me of that wonderful, irreverent, bizarre series Father Ted. The world needs more of it, I say. Must try to get my hands on the video/dvd.

Meanwhile, am continuing my boycott against anything related to the Duh Vinci Code.

Father Ted was really hard to get hold of a few years ago - I scoured every likely shop in Ireland for the two available tapes. I think since then some DVDs have been released, so I'd try Amazon or maybe the ABC shop Val.

Dan Brown is now writing The Pro Hart Code which will show how Harold Holt did not drown but is still alive in the dead heart of Australia in a tribe which includes Azaria Chamberlain.

I'd like to see a worldwide boycott against anything having to do with Christianity.

Blood sacrifice? Guilt? Hell? "Chosen people"? "Arch" bishops??

Down with this sort of thing!

"Arch" bishops of course can only convincingly be played by Stephen Fry.
