In lieu of a proper statue post, again

I've not been in the right places, in decent weather, with a camera, for a couple of weeks, hence the lack of statuary. So meanwhile I'm pointing you toward a link I happened upon, to a Moscow waxwork exhibition detailing the perils of drug use.

The caption for this image says " A woman seems to be remorseful of taking drugs after she gave birth to a disabled baby."

I want to write a book about things that look like people but aren't.

I love that "appears to be remorseful"; I suspect the the Zork Rule applies here.

(Sorry, but playing Zork when I was a kid warped my mind. Possibly for the better.)

Why is there no Wikipedia entry for the Zork Rule?

I thought that's what the big W was for.

Then again, there's the news item in the sidebar: "Toxic spill to hit earlier than expected."

Why bother NOT to take drugs?...

that is repulsive. those russkies sure are dour & sour.and it looks like they have not seen the result of thalidomide if they think that infant is deformed.
I am wondering if their tableau representing Ecstasy is an Indonesian diplomat son with an Australian 'model' and their friend who bribes her way out of arrest, with a caption of: 'Model is remorseful after not packing enough cash to bribe Indonesian law'.

I followed the link to see that they blame all drug addiction on the Chinese, and then single-out poor old Freddie Mercury for special attention.

You want to write about 'things that look like people but aren't' - Jocelyn Wildenstein? Jacko? Ronald McDonald?
Please keep us posted - we know it will be good.

"With love to details. Artists have not forget even dirty nails."

Bless those Russkies.

They know how to enjoy themselves, alright.

It was Dorian's sister that wrote a book on Jocelyn Wildenstein and her kind. (Are you out there, M?) I was thinking more about statues. I'm seeing them everywhere I look.

Another one for the mental drawer full of unfinished (and unbegun) projects...
