dreadful sorry, Clementine

I used up today's blogging superpowers on writing something for the Valve & I don't plan on cross-posting the same thing both here and there since, well, that would be a bit pointless IMO. It's only a tiny, tiny click to go there, if you're that determined to waste another five precious minutes of your life on what murky, turgid patch of fog clouded over my brain today!

So, I have nothing much of interest to say this evening, unless you'd like to know that I'm going to close down my ebay shop and reopen another handbag-flogging outlet elsewhere on the internet, someplace that ebay can't frigging tell me what to do and charge extortionate, usurious commission while I try to do it by struggling through their idiotic, buggy and poorly maintained systems. I'm wondering about doing my new bag shop via a blog platform, actually. Partly for the easiness of the publishing, partly for the fairly incredible Google benefits. I had my shop on ebay for two years, sold more than 500 handmade handbags, always linked back to it wherever I could, and never ever managed to get its pagerank past 2/10. Will I get in trouble if I try to sell things through a Blogger job? What about the paid-for ones - which of them is easiest and cheapest to manage?

Sorry to be so very very boring. As youall liked the funny men in suits link from a couple of days ago, I have installed a similarly deeply stupid item under the fold. (You do know, don't you, that "deeply stupid" is among the highest praise-words I know, for things of this kind?) Just be warned that what follows might cause your eyeballs to melt like in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Double apologies if you're reading this on an RSS feed.

THE HASSELHOFFIAN RECURSION

An oldie, but a goodie.

if you want to get your own domain and look after everything yourself (which i would recommend) then Movable Type is fairly intuitive and very configurable. You could structure it much like a catalogue site but through a blogging interface (using categories to sort items).

It's free if you only want one author and up to three distinct blogs.

And if you need any help, you know where to find me ;)

Laura, I had a look at the Valve, I don't know what it all means, but you are a sweetheart.

Naughty Secretary Club is (are) just mind-blowing. Impulse buying or not, money spent there would have to me money spent well.

Ok, I'm going to check our WordPress, thank you for the advice Clancy and Katy.
